Eltiv Australia Electronic Engineering
| Refurbishment of printed circuit boards.
We, at Eltiv Australia Electronic Engineering Pty Ltd have been repairing and refurbishing electronic circuit boards and systems for over 23 years for clients like Qenos, Loy Yang Power, Kraft, PBR, Amcor, Australian Paper, The Age, Herald Sun and many others.
The refurbishment process consists of finding the fault, fixing it and then proactively replacing all the components we know from experience are likely to fail in the near future. At the end of this process, we return to our customers a renewed card, plug-and-play, ready to be installed back into the production environment.Contrary to traditional belief, an electronic circuit board, does not necessarily have to be replaced once it failed; at least not anymore.
Why Refurbish?
Equipment that uses electronic circuits/systems almost inevitably experience failure, due to a fault in the electronic circuitry. Age, harsh environmental/process factors like vibration, temperature and dust increase the chances that such failure will occur. These events are usually associated with downtime or continuous interruption in one’s production schedule, none of which are desirable.
Most OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) see this as an opportunity to recommend an upgrade of the existing control system (for example), that may require substantial expenditure and downtime (in changing the hardware infrastructure, rewiring, learning new software/training etc.) Such costs are often not budgeted for. And most of the time, the upgrade of the control system will not actually improve your process or the finished goods you produce at all!
Refurbishment is the feasible alternative to upgrades!
