Gullco -
The Kat® Carriage / Compact Oscillator combines the Gullco Kat® all-position travel carriage with a compact oscillator head and its controls. Mounting brackets, connecting cable, and MIG gun holder are included. Micro-fine vertical and horizontal adjustment is accomplished using Gullco rack boxes and rack arms, also included with the package.
The Kat® Carriage / Compact Oscillator is designed to increase production and improve the quality of the weld produced in automatic mechanized welding operations by minimizing weld defects such as poor penetration, incomplete fusion, overlap and undercut.
The oscillator imparts a pendulum, tangential or step (square pattern) motion to the welding gun. Stroke width is adjustable. Stroke speed, dwell times (left, center, and right), wire feed start delay, carriage start and stop are all set on the oscillator control.
The Model GK-200-RMO Kat® Carriage / Compact Oscillator operates on rigid aluminum track.
The Model GK-200-FMO Kat® Carriage / Compact Oscillator operates on Gullco flexible spring steel track.
Both models operate in all positions. They are equipped with the Gullco microprocessor based programmable control with closed loop tachometer feedback for complete speed accuracy regardless of load. The carriages are rated for up to one hundred pounds (forty five kilograms) when operating in any position.
The oscillator head is capable of producing two distinct motions when mounted in either the horizontal or vertical position. One is a tangential or scribing motion. The other is a pendulum motion. Together they meet all weld oscillation application requirements.
Independent, electronically controlled dwells (0-5 seconds) are provided at each end and the center of the stroke. Precise stroke width adjustment is simple and provides the required weld pattern.
The Gullco Oscillator head tilts independently enabling the torch to be positioned at the exact angle required for effective multi-pass weld oscillation.
Remote Controlled Compact Oscillator is available to be mounted on existing Kat® All Position Travel Carriages, welding head manipulators, side beam carriages, etc. It includes the Gullco Model GK-197-O-100 Oscillator head, GK-197-O-101 electronic oscillator control, control cable, MIG gun holder, and mounting brackets including Gullco micro-fine rack boxes and rack arms for horizontal and vertical adjustment.
