The double-ended shear-beam load pin

Bestech Australia presents the 5719/5799 model load pin, used to measure traction force in crane systems, hoppers, process control and onboard vehicle systems.

Based on the advanced metal foil strain gauge technology, the sensing elements of these load pins are strain gauges. These strain gauges form a Wheatstone bridge to sense the deformation of the load pin. Load pins operate as a double ended shear beam. The middle part of the load pin shaft has a shearing deformation with respect to the two ends.

These load pins come as a standard with an environmental protection rating of IP66.To meet the requirements of operating conditions in harsh industrial areas it can also be made to a protection grade of IP67 or IP68.

Some of the important features of this load pin are:

  • Force range: 20 kN to 800 kN
  • Safe Overload: 150% FS
  • Accuracy: Up to 0.2% FSO
  • Output: 2.0mV/V, 4-20mA, 0.5-5V, 0.5-10V

  • Protection: IP66, IP67, IP68
  • Rigid and compact which makes it easy to be installed or replaced in the installation position.
