MINES - Mining Industry New Employee Skills
A 3 week training & development program that provides persons with the skills and knowledge required for entry level positions in the mining and associated service industries.
Develop the skills and knowledge required to comply with the high safety standards and expectations associated with the mining industry.
. Learn how to perform as an individual , within a team and lead teams to complete individual and team tasks including safe work at heights and confined space training.
. Develop the essential skill set of communication, teamwork, problem solving, planning, organising and using initiative.
. Achieve nationally recognised qualifications to help your career pathway.
- Work safely
- Communication in the workplace
- Comply with site work systems / procedures
- Participate in environmental work practices
- Conduct local risk assessment
- Perform basic cutting and welding
- Work safely at heights
- Enter confined spaces
- Work in accordance with an issued permit.
